Statutory Text

SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Alabama in General Assembly convened, That the sum of six thousand dollars be and is hereby appropriated out of any unappropriated money in the treasury, to purchase one thousand Bowie-knife-shaped pikes, and one thousand Bowie knives for the purpose and use of the 48th regiment Alabama militia: Provided, that only so much of this appropriation shall be used as may be necessary to pay the actual cost of the manufacture of such arms.
