Section 129. That whoever carries any pistol, bowie knife, dirk, or other dangerous weapon, concealed on or about his person, shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars, or imprisoned not more than thirty days, and for a second offense, fined not more than five hundred dollars, or imprisoned not more than three months, or both.

Section 130. That upon the trial of a complaint for carrying a concealed weapon, the jury or the Mayor, as the case may be, shall acquit or discharge the defendant if it be made to appear that he was at that time engaged in a lawful business, calling or employment, and that the circumstances in which he was placed were such as to justify a prudent man in carrying the weapon for the defense of his person, property or family.
