SECTION 1. That section one of an act entitled “An Act to preserve the public peace by preventing the display of knives and other deadly weapons in the presence of one or more persons,” approved March 4, 1882, the same being chapter 81, of the Session Laws of 1882, be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: Section 1. Whoever shall, in the presence of one or more persons, exhibit any kind of fire-arms, bowie-knife, dirk, dagger, slung-shot, or other deadly weapon, in a rude, angry or threatening manner not necessary to the defense of his person, family or property, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof, shall be punishled by a fine of not less than tell dollars, nor more than one hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
