Summary

Amended 1885 Kentucky tax laws. Occupational license tax of $50 on vendors of bowie knives, and the tax was reduced to $25 for pistols. Added brass knuckles and other weapons to the tax.

Statutory Text

§ 35. Before engaging in any occupation or selling any article named in this and section thirty-seven of this article, the person desiring to do so shall procure license and pay the tax thereon as follows:

To sell pistols, twenty-five dollars.
To sell bowie-knives, dirks, brass-knucks or slungshots, fifty dollars.
