Statutory Text
SECTION 1. That Section 2421 of the Revised Statutes of the State of Florida be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
2521. Carrying Concealed Weapons. — Whoever shall secretly carry arms of any kind on or about his person, or whoever shall have concealed on or about his person any dirk, pistol or other weapon, except a common pocket knife, shall be punished by imprisonment not exceeding three months or by fine not exceeding one hundred dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SEC. 2. That Section 2423, of the Revised Statutes of the State of Florida be amended so as to read as follows:
2423. Persons Engaged in Criminal Offence, Having Weapons. — Whoever, when lawfully arrested, while committing a criminal offence, or a breach of disturbance of the public peace, is armed with, or has on his person any slung shot, metallic knuckles, billies, fire-arms, or other dangerous weapon, shall be punished by imprisonment not exceeding three months, or by fine not exceeding one hundred dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SEC. 3. That Section 2425 of the Revised Statutes of the State of Florida be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
2425. Manufacturing or Selling Slung Shot. — Whoever manufactures, or causes to be manufactured, or sells or exposes for sale any instrument or weapon of the kind usually known as slung shot, or metallic knuckles, shall be punished by imprisonment not exceeding three months, or by fine not exceeding one hundred dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
