Summary

Discharging a weapon on a train was prohibited except for self-defense. Recklessley handling a firearm on a train was likewise illegal.

Statutory Text

SECTION 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person to discharge any gun, pistol, or other fire-arm, except in self defence, while on any passenger train in this State; or to recklessly handle any fire-arm or other weapon in the presence of any other person or persons on any train carrying passengers in this State.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That any person guilty of either of the offenses described in the first section of this act shall upon conviction be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not exceeding six months, one or both at the discretion of the Court.
